We arranged a play-date with Stella (Sharon & Dan Riggs) with Brandy at the Fountain Hills dog park. They were litter-mate sisters and hadn’t seen each other since the pick-up day when they were 8 weeks old. We missed Poodle Palooza hosted by Springer Clan Standard Poodles which is an annual gathering of the various poodles bred by SCSP.
It was a fun rendezvous at the dog park. The conformation of Brandy and Stella was amazingly similar. They enjoyed reconnecting. It was also fun to watch our mini-goldendoodle play with Stella as well.
Brandy showed Stella her favorite dog park activity … squeaky-ball fetching. Stella started playing with the squeaky-ball right away. By the end of the hour, she sprinted out after the ball just like Brandy. I bet she grows to really like it.
We are planning a follow-on play-date to go swimming together. Brandy is now an excellent swimmer and it will be fun to see if we can get Stella to enjoy in as well.
