Steve ordered a Jonkers JS3 15m/18m racing sailplane. It is due either in Q1 or Q2 of 2022. Pictures of the trailer arriving from Germany and sailplane in production in South Africa are shown below.
The JS3 will have a glide ratio of 57:1 and is generally regarded amongst the best in its class for soaring competitions around the world. Steve hasn’t decided if he’s going to race gain, but Minden Nevada is one of the top soaring locations in the country, if not the world. Here is a link to information on the JS3: Link
