As a result of my recent move from Washington State to Nevada, I was directed by home management to downsize my library. I collected many business books related to leadership and entrepreneurship. Many were used to support the courses I taught at Emory-Riddle. Others were acquired so that I could do book reviews for my business advice website, Sliwa Insights. However, I have backed off on that project as I started semi-retirement.
One of my colleagues, JP Bauman, really appreciates books, especially in the business genre. He recently moved to a beautiful house previously owned by a professor. The library was huge, and JP’s book collection had not dented the house library shelving. So I asked him if he’d like some books added to his collection.
He said he did. It took a little while, but I sent over 200 books via a pallet. Needless to say, he was surprised. He has also implemented library software for managing his collection. So, I feel like the Sliwa Business Book Library found a good home.
